June 23, 2008: Senator Sean Kean presented decorated WWII Veteran Leonard Lomell with a resolution for his bravery and service to our country. Lomell is best known for his heroic efforts to disable German cannons during the D-Day invasion, he is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for his extraordinary heroism in combat. He was also awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal, the British Military Medal, the Croiz de Guerre with Silver Lining and the French Legion of Honor and has been featured in several books on WWII.
