Kean: Legislature Should Address Property Tax Crisis
Assemblyman Kean has introduced a
measure that could provide Monmouth County residents with property
tax relief much sooner than could be provided by the proposed
constitutional convention.
Kean's measure calls for a special legislative session to address
the state's property tax crisis. A constitutional convention would
take at least two years to begin to provide residents with property
tax relief. In addition, it would cost an estimated $4 million to
stage such a convention.
