On Wednesday, November 29, Assemblyman Sean T. Kean held a town meeting in West Long Branch. The meeting was well attended by concerned residents, as well as Mayor Janet Tucci, Councilwoman Barbara Ruane, and Councilman Thomas DeBruin.

Assemblyman Sean T. Kean held a press conference on Monday, November 6, to voice his opposition to the proposal to build another Park & Ride facility in Wall Township. Assemblyman Kean was joined by Wall Mayor Mary Burne and members of the Township Committee as well as many concerned homeowners.

October 20, 2006

On Friday, October 20 Assemblyman Kean presented Don Walsh of Spring Lake Heights with a Joint Legislative Resolution honoring him for his swim around the Isle of Jersey. Mr. Walsh completed the 41.5 mile swim to raise money for the Naval Special Warfare Foundation.

October 3, 2006

On Tuesday, October 3, Assemblyman Kean announced at a series of press conferences that he is introducing legislation to repeal the sales tax on health club memberships. Assemblyman Kean was joined by health club owners and personal trainers who are also opposed to the tax and believe that it could cause some gym patrons to stop exercising and dissuade others who are interested in joining a health club.

On Wednesday, September 20, Assemblyman Sean T. Kean participated in an Education Summit at Wall Township Intermediate School. The Education Summit was organized by concerned parents who want to ensure that their school district is receiving an adequate amount of state funding. Assemblyman Kean served as a panelist for this discussion about school funding.

Assemblyman Sean Kean addressed local business owners at an “Anti-tax Rally” on June 27 in Belmar. The Assemblyman joined with business leaders and shop proprietors to rally against the Governor’s proposed budget which includes increasing the sales tax and expanding the tax to new items.
