KEAN
ADDRESSES EIGHTH AIR FORCE HISTORICAL SOCIETY
On Wednesday, April
25, Assemblyman Sean T. Kean (R-11) served as the guest
speaker at a meeting of the Eighth Air Force Historical
Society held at Doolan’s in Spring Lake Heights. The
Eighth Air Force Historical Society is dedicated to
preserving the history and legacy of the veterans who
served in the Eighth Air Force during World War II.
Assemblyman Kean
thanked the veterans in attendance for their service and
commitment to their country.
“You are the people
who helped keep America free and afforded future
generations the liberties that we enjoy today,” said
Assemblyman Sean Kean. “Our nation owes you many thanks
for your courageous and selfless service.”
In addition, Kean
also spoke about the importance of remembering the
accomplishments of veterans such as the Eighth Air Force
and how they serve as an example for current service
members.
Kean continued, “It
is imperative that we remember the sacrifices made by
these veterans and the great battles that they endured;
these moments shaped American history. The dignity and
bravery with which they served is shining example to our
current men and women risking their lives overseas.”
