KEAN, RIBLE & ANGELINI SWORN INTO OFFICE
On Tuesday, January 9, 2008, the New Jersey
Senate and General Assembly members were sworn into office
during the Organization of the 213th Session of the
Legislature. During these ceremonies, Sean T. Kean of Wall,
who previously served five years in the Assembly, was sworn
into office as Senator for the 11th Legislative District.
David Rible, of Wall, and Mary Pat Angelini of Ocean also
took the oath of office and will represent the 11th District
in the General Assembly.
Senator Sean T. Kean said he is honored to now serve the
people of the 11th District in the State Senate.
"It has been my honor and privilege to represent the people
of the 11th Legislative District in the General Assembly and
I am thrilled at the opportunity to continue representing
Monmouth County in the Senate," remarked Senator Sean T.
Kean.
Senator Kean was elected to fill the seat of former Senator
Joseph Palaia who retired after serving in the Legislature
since 1981.
Assemblyman David Rible and Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini
who will be serving their first terms as legislators also
expressed their enthusiasm to work in the Legislature.
"I am looking forward to representing the constituents of
District 11 and advocating on their behalf," said
Assemblyman David Rible. "After speaking to people on the
campaign trail, I know that lowering property taxes and
making New Jersey an affordable place to live and do
business are the most important issues right now."
Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini also asserted her commitment
to the reforms that she and her running mates pledged to
uphold throughout their campaign.
"I am eager to begin working to make New Jersey more
affordable, bring about ethics reform and restore fiscal
accountability to the state," said Assemblywoman Mary Pat
Angelini.
Senator Kean, Assemblyman Rible and Assemblywoman Angelini
plan to have a joint legislative office located in Wall
Township.
