KEAN’S
OFFICE DROP-OFF POINT FOR
OPERATION DVD
COLLECTING DVDS AND CDS FOR TROOPS AS PART OF AMVETS
CAMPAIGN
Assemblyman Sean T. Kean (R-11) is participating in
nationwide campaign by AMVETS to collect DVD’s and CD’S
to be sent to United States soldiers fighting in war
zones. Kean’s legislative office in Wall will serve as a
drop-off site for the DVDs and CDs which will be mailed
to AMVETS’ national headquarters and then be sent to the
troops.
“Donating DVDs and CDs to the troops is a relatively
inexpensive, but kind and thoughtful way that all of us
at home can show our support for the troops,” said
Assemblyman Sean T. Kean. “Especially at this time of
year, our soldiers need positive greetings from home and
the DVDs and CDs will hopefully provide them with some
entertainment and a chance to relax.”
In
addition, the DVDs and CDs will also be sent to
hospitals that are treating wounded soldiers and any
items for children will be shared with soldiers’
families at home.
The
AMVETS, Operation DVD campaign hopes to distribute one
million DVDs.
“These
men and women have sacrificed so much for our country;
it is important that we recognize their selfless
service, dedication and resolve,” remarked Kean. “While
this might seem like a small gesture, it can provide
some much needed entertainment, laughter, or a memory of
home for soldiers who need and deserve our support.”
Assemblyman Kean’s office is located at 1334 Laurel
Avenue, Suite A, in Wall Township and can be contacted
at (732) 974-0400 for directions.
